Mata Najwa was the reason I left Trans7 in the mid of Agust-September 2009. After a rally of discussions with Najwa Shihab and early member teams about the wannabe talkshow concept, I decided to resign and joined Metro TV one month later. Discussions was on and on. We decided to figure out a new formula for our talkshow. We had tried so many format from outdoor to indoor taping.
From 2009 until 2011 I had worked on the concept, recruited the early personnels, did presentations to Metro TV's Board of Director and Sales Marketing Division, and run the program for the next two years. I left Mata Najwa on 2011 for another challenging job still at Metro TV: joining the most hectic news bulletin but a program I must learn much Metro Hari Ini.
Here's some interesting stories behind the stage of Mata Najwa. I could not write all of them, but I remember the most interesting one. I wrote it for the 5th commemoration of the program on October 2014 along with Jati Savitri request. Please read and enjoy the article "My Stories with Mata Najwa".
